Denise and I went out last evening to do a dinner date and thought we'd try out the new restaurant on Wallace. Being Italian I am really picky about what gets served here in BC that people call Italian. The fare offered at La Bruschetta Bistro is actually really, really good Italian cooking. The appy we shared was awesome and damn near too big, I was driving so I know the coffee is really good. The wine Denise had she claims was really nice. Our main courses were too big and my spaghetti and meatballs was absolutely the best Italian Restaurant food I've had since leaving Northern Ontario. Nice to be able to get real New York Style Cherry Cheesecake here in Port Alberni. All in all I'd give the place about an 11 on a scale of one to ten. One more truly fine dining experience for Port Alberni.
