My husband and I hired Evan to complete electrical work in our house, and we deeply regret it. Based on our experience, it’s clear that he isn’t qualified for larger projects. He seems better suited for minor residential repairs, but he should never have taken on our project given his lack of expertise. We hired him to install pot lights and rework the kitchen layout amongst other items. The job should have been straightforward since the attic was completely empty of insulation, making access easy. Instead, Evan took every shortcut imaginable. He would push to add junction boxes all over, or as we found out added circuits haphazardly without consulting us, stuffing junction boxes into attics, light switches, and light fixture boxes rather than running new electrical lines as we specifically requested. The result? Sloppy and unprofessional work that left us extremely frustrated. On top of that, Evan failed to run enough power to our stovetop and wall oven. After the walls were already closed up, we had to hire another electrician to fix his mistake and run an additional line. His suggestion to “solve” the problem? Overloading the breaker, which is both dangerous and against code. To make matters worse, Evan never even finished the job. He left us completely hanging with excuse after excuse, wasting both our time and energy. If you’re considering hiring him, beware. We had an absolutely awful experience. Evan is unreliable, unprofessional, and not qualified for anything beyond the simplest of tasks. Save yourself the headache and hire someone else.
