Painted Turtle Early Childcare Centre is an in-home multi-age Child Care Centre that is fully licensed under the community care facilities and regulations act. We provide care for ages 12 months - 5 years of age Monday to Friday from 8:30am-4:00pm. We are located on 10 acres of farmland and walking distance to trails, beaches and local farms. We are 10 minutes from Colwood/Langford and on your way to work from Sooke/East Sooke.
My name is Melissa Parker and I am a fully qualified Early Childhood Educator and the Owner and Operator of Painted Turtle. I have over 15 years of experience with children 5 and under. I hold a valid Emergency childcare first aid certificate and criminal record check.
I am a member of the Southern Vancouver Island Family Childcare Association, BC Family childcare association and Childcare resource and referral.
I attend monthly meetings and yearly weekend conferences on Vancouver Island and Vancouver to further my education.
I believe in creating a safe and nurturing environment that supports all aspects of early learning. I offer outdoor play, walks, art, circle time, free play, fine and gross motor, dramatic play and more!
Painted Turtle provides an atmosphere that encourages curiosity exploration and learning.
