I had Brett and he was WAY over priced and terrible with his clients. All he managed to do for my divorce was make it much worse and hiring him cost me so much more. He cost me thousands and refused to listen to any of my wishes. He would purposely drag things on to make more money. I couldn’t get him to do anything to get the ball moving forward and the more I tried the more he got upset. I spent so much time and thousands of dollars just calling his office to get Brett to do SOMETHING. All he does is update your affidavit to take time and “run the clock”. It’s an old divorce lawyer trick. His tactics are to ensure the divorce takes as long as possible so he can make as much money as possible from the file. It was past obvious and once he was deemed to be utterly useless, I finally just had to fire him and move on to a lawyer that could get the job DONE. He was extremely rude and his constant racist and misogynistic comments get a bit much after a while. He will spend so much of YOUR time AND MONEY going on about anything that’s not related to your file. He loves to talk to waste time and use up your money. He’s never actually listening to his clients. My divorce at the time was stalled and it wasn’t going anywhere unless I fired him. As soon as I got another lawyer I was finally able to get my divorce moving in the right direction and I finally found a conclusion. I’m not sure Brett is even taking on any more clients but if he is then save yourself a lot of money and time by NOT hiring this guy. All Brett is now is an old racist crook who’s just trying to pad his retirement. I can’t speak to his abilities in a courtroom because he’ll do anything to avoid the court room so he can draw out your divorce as long as he can. Save yourself a lot of time and grief by hiring any other lawyer. The old man needs to retire. You’re welcome in advance!!
