Company Description

The Tsawalk program developed out of a partnership between the Nanaimo Aboriginal Center, the Mid-Island Métis Association, the Boys and Girls Club of Central Vancouver Island and School District 84 to address a perceived need to re-engage students who have been out of school or at risk of leaving school. Learners are involved in the creation of their individualized plan and learning takes place in a variety of informal settings. Our focus is on re-engaging students into a positive educational environment. We recognize the importance of moving students forward from where they are socially, emotionally, behaviorally, and academically.
