Terrible experience with this place. Went in, shopping with family, and we are admiring all the lovely items. I found a mug I would die to have, and since it’s my birthday in 5 days, I took a picture of it to send to him. The woman working in the store FLIPPED at me, rudely declared that I “should ask before taking a picture” because “it’s artisan’s work” in this snobby and rude voice! I was so taken aback that I was speechless!! I wish I had said “don’t worry, I’ve deleted it and will never set foot in here EVER again”. And as a permanent and longtime Langford resident, I promise to tell everyone I know about this experience as well. My SIL, who was with me when this happened, was pretty surprised as well. She asked me if I was okay. I have a specific mental health issue that makes me extremely sensitive to things like that, held my emotions in the mall but did cry while telling my husband about it when I got home. Most stores where they don’t want you to take a picture have these things called SIGNS! Nobody in their right mind is going to “ask” the employee if they can take a picture, like who does that??? But signs are a better way to go than scaring off your customers. Sad because I would have gone back for that mug, too. If I could give this shop less than one star, I would.
