ABOUT SALTY?S FISH & CHIPS Family Run for More than 40 Years - More than Just Fish & Chips

Salty?s Fish and Chips has been synonymous with English style fish and chips in the Lower Mainland since the early 1970?s. As a family-run business, their goal was to provide the best quality fish and chip meal at a reasonable cost. The business was established to offer authentic English fish and chips to the large English expatriate population in the Lower Mainland as well as to an ever-increasing market of both young families and seniors, who enjoy eating traditional English food.

While recent expansion has primarily taken place on Vancouver Island, with locations including: Cloverdale, Duncan, Victoria on Craigflower Road, and Victoria on Goldstream Ave.

?Business has been great, it?s nice to see a lot of faces that remember my dad and some of the earlier locations,? says Richard Wass, son of the original founder of Salty?s who opened one of their first locations right here in Langley on Salt Lane in the early 70?s.

?I remember going to the Port Coquitlam location as a young lad,? says Steve Gotham of Surrey, ?we never missed a Friday night ? it?s better than ever!?

Salty?s is still a family run business with the same quality fish and chips that they have been serving for the past 40 years. ?Bring in the highest quality product that is available and then price it accordingly,? says Richard, ?no shortcuts here. Our prices may be 50 cents more than other chippies, but we feel that at the end of the day the extra dollar that couple may have spent was well worth it.?
